87 Points, "Wines from Germany's Pfalz region continue to be some of the best German values but don't get much attention. This one is pretty sweet with orange and peach flavors. A very versatile wine." The Wine Connection Vol. 16, No. 2, 2011

Vineyard & Winemaking Notes

The Pfalz is bordered by the Rheinhessen on the north and to the south and west by France. The region is Germany’s second largest wine region by acreage and is the sunniest and driest of all German wine regions. The vineyards are planted in primary sandstone and volcanic soil and its climate is similar to Alsace, France. The word Pfalz is derived from the Latin word palatium, meaning palace.
