Conquista de Argentina Oak Cask Malbec
2009 Vintage
BEST BUY, Wine Enthusiast Magazine August 2011 "The focus here is on red fruits and zest more than richness and weight. The palate is snappy, with raspberry and red plum flavos along with vanilla shadings. Candied and just full enough on the finish, with mild herbal notes."
2009 Vintage
89 points, The Midwest Wine Connection December 2010 "The basic Conquista Malbec defines affordable value. This Oak Cask is even better. The oak mellows the wine but doesn't take away its rich earthy flavors. Stands up well with big foods."

Conquista Oak Cask Malbec offers plum and dark cherry fruit characteristics with hints of blackberries and blueberries. The lingering finish has silky tannins, great finesse, and layers of vanilla, mocha and spices.
Pairs well with on its own, roasted vegetables, hearty grilled meats or rich cheeses.
100% Malbec
The grapes are hand harvested at optimum ripeness from various areas of the i.p. mendoza region. The vines are an average of 45+ years old. Each area offers different characteristics and through skillful blending the resulting wine has great finesse and added depth. The oak cask is aged for 6 months in 50% American oak and 50% in French oak.
