Vineyard & Winemaking Notes

Pfalz is bordered by the Rheinhessen to the north and France to the south and west. The name Pfalz is derived from the Latin word palatium, or place. The region produces wines of substance and finesse with less acidity than their Mosel counterparts. The soil of the region is comprised of gravel, granite, sandstone, limestone, and chalk.
