Vineyard & Winemaking Notes

The fruit is sourced from the Astoria Estate vineyard “Val de Brun” in the rolling hills of the delle Venezie region located in the northeastern corner of Italy. The grapes are harvested by hand and sorted in small baskets from vines planted 600 feet above sea level with an average age of 10 years. Production of “Mina” is headed by Mr. Donato Lanati whom is considered amongst the top 3-4 oenologist in Italy. Mr. Lanati is well known for his pioneering work in viticulture and new techniques during vinification for many of the top estates of Italy. Stainless steel fermented several weeks of aging on lees to acquire complexity.
